My friends! I am back. I am finally back and ready for a year of consistent, stunning, newsletter writing. The past couple of weeks have been so crazy (blah blah blah) that it left me without my routines. I have said this every week. I don’t know why I’m repeating it, but it’s the last time you’ll hear this from me. Anyway. I chose to stay up late and work and sleep in so much that I had to work right when I woke up. The nice part is that I’ve gotten caught up with tv shows (lmk if you need recommendations) The not-so-nice part is that I developed some writer’s block and feeling off.
This morning I was determined to be on my yoga mat by 6:15 am for the first time since September. I was determined to have that sacred morning alone time I used to savor. To reconnect with my soul! To wake up excited like I used to.
And guess what guys? I did it. I returned to my special little routine and newsletter ideas, solutions to my “problems” and overall peace infused my body. I returned to my meditation process (unfortunately I chose a guided one that kind of creeped me out, but alas, tomorrow is a chance to try again) Either way… a beautiful way to start the year, no?
I’m writing this to let you know that it’s not too late to return to the thing that lights your fire, even if you’ve abandoned it for a few months or even years. Whether it’s your long walks, your pilates class, your book reading, making out or your artistic practice. In fact, now you can return to it with a fresh perspective and do it even better. Improve the process!
You might be sick of new years energy, but in my opinion, there is nothing more invigorating than setting some goals or intentions. If I’m not conscious and direct about what I want, it’s probably not happening. And here’s the thing, it’s not too late to start (or restart) today.
Xx, Chloe
P.S. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me and my art during the holiday season. I cried (FROM GRATITUDE) twice.
