My dear subscribers! Oh, how I love you guys. Happy Monday. I’m sorry this is late. I woke up feeling like I was living in a bowl of jello, barely able to move, think, or process. I accidentally had decaf coffee in the morning instead of the afternoon, which confirmed that I am in fact addicted to caffeine.
Anyway,
I am wondering if I have the flu or if I have early symptoms of a classic Chloe burnout. If you’re a longtime reader you’re familiar. A Chloe burnout can happen when I have a lot going on, or almost nothing. It doesn’t always reflect my actual tasks and responsibilities, but it definitely affects them. Right now everything is pretty good— which makes me even more frustrated by my looming overwhelm.
I’m finding myself slipping back into a pattern of paralyzing overwhelm. An email to answer or a box to return is torturing me. Thinking of organizing my closet and cleaning out my car makes me wonder if I am even capable of having a steady job or healthy relationships, I’m so ashamed and even fearful of the tasks.
If you don’t relate to this, it might sound ridiculous. I do my best to take my boyfriend’s advice, “one thing at a time,” but my chaotic mind doesn’t even know where to start sometimes. In the past, I have just shut down and started acting out but I’m learning to relinquish control while introducing more intention, because I’m trying to control everything, but it sometimes feels like nothing is getting done.
The libra new moon is begging me to see where I can find balance in my life, and that sounds nice. But I honestly don’t even know what that means or look like.
So I have to ask you guys what that means to you.
How do you live a more balanced life?
How do you feel less overwhelmed?
What makes you feel like you’re living a balanced life?
Let me know what you think so I can selfishly benefit and additionally share with the other subscribers (almost 3,000 of you!!!!!!!)
Xx Chloe
song of the week:
vibe of the week:
My former (amazing, kick-ass female) boss once said to me you sometimes need to decide on one task and "give yourself permission" to momentarily forget the rest of your to-do list so you can relax & focus enough to get it done. It sounds trite, but I think about that phrase whenever I'm overwhelmed and it helps a lot.
Please share when you get some answers, IN NEED, haha.
